Ugga Bugga
Ugga Bugga is a tiki-themed video slot released in 2013 to quite a lot of fanfare. The reason behind this was its amazing mechanism, which features 10 rows of three reels. Each of these works independently of the other and the way to win is by getting three of the same symbols lined up in any of these 3×1 lines. The game, which has an RTP of 99.07% (huge even by video slot standards), comes with multiple bonus features including expanding wild symbols, scatter symbols, and amazing two-step spins. Indeed, when you take Ugga Bugga for a spin, only the first row will move. You then have the possibility to hold on to one or two symbols, which will then be replicated on each of the other nine rows when you spin again. This spin feature doesn’t cost you more and can be activated whether you’re playing for $0.10 or $250 per spin. The maximum payout is 1,000x your stake, which at the full $250 would mean a jackpot of $250,000!
Age of the Gods: King of Olympus
As its name suggests, Age of the Gods: King of Olympus is a video slot based on Ancient Greek mythology, with the symbols including a Grecian vase, a lyre, Pegasus, and Zeus himself (the wild). The game doesn’t have any spectacular bonus slot features other than free spins that are activated when three or more scatter symbols land on any of the reels at the same time. Even so, this five reel-, three row-, and 25 payline-video slot has become a firm favorite for its simple mechanism and its low-starting wagering (as little as $0.01 per spin). The game also has some beautiful graphics, an RTP of 95.98%, and a jackpot of 300,000 coins.
Goblin’s Cave
Join the cute, glass-wearing goblin in his treasure-filled cave and get your hands on your very own gold. This three-reel, three-row title is as close to traditional fruit machines as video slots get in design and mechanism. Indeed, each row is a payline in its own right, and you have to get three similar symbols on a line to win. Nevertheless, Goblin’s Cave adds a few bonus features to the mix including the Red Ruby wild symbol (three of which will give you 150x your stake), the Lantern scatter symbol (three of which will guide you to the bonus game), and the hold symbol (which will allow you to keep symbols on reels to maximise your winning potential). Each spin on this game will cost you between $0.15 and $75 (you decide), and the RTP alternates between 94.50% and 99.32%. Goblin’s Cave was released in 2012 and is not available to play at mobile casinos.
The Matrix
Based on the 1999 blockbuster, this game has five reels, three rows, 50 paylines, and an RTP of 95.14%. Released by Playtech in 2017, The Matrix video slot is also choc-a-bloc with bonus features. The first two are the wilds: the green one, which features Neo, substitutes any other symbol except for the scatter; while the black cat only appears on the 5th reel. The game also has the Agent Smith and Sentinel bonus features, which are modeled on the blue/red pill concept seen in the film. The first will give you eight free spins during which more Agent Smith symbols stick to the reels in order to give you bigger wins; while the second will see the bad guys act as sticky wilds which can only be cleared away by the electromagnetic gun.
Gladiator
This slot, which was released in 2013, is based on the history epic Gladiator and has become an icon in the genre of branded slots. The game itself has five reels, three rows, 25 paylines, and an RTP of 94.09%. Part of what makes this game extra special is that it has some amazing bonus features. See, when you land wild symbols (the Gladiator) on reels two, three, and four, then you can expect a new play screen to appear where the symbols will be made up of bronze, silver, and gold helmets, with each winning combination giving you different payout amounts. But, after you amass your winnings, you can then choose to gamble them by playing a simple card game where the aim is to guess whether the hidden card is black or red; choosing the right one could see your payout doubled.
